Skudo
The Problem
If you work in the construction industry, you are familiar with numerous contractors and tradespeople attempting to complete their work within increasingly short time frames, leading to:
Damage – Surfaces such as Concrete, Terrazzo, Marble, Stone, Hardwood, Tile, Metal, and Glass are constantly exposed to machinery, foot traffic and construction materials that can chip, dent, scratch or stain the surface.
Accidents – Injuries (i.e. slip and falls) occur from contractors and workers having to navigate over inadequate temporary coverings such as paper, cardboard, plastic sheeting and plywood.
The Solution
Skudo offers products that provide solutions to common work site problems, such as damage to finished surfaces and trip and fall hazards that occur during the construction process. These issues cost you time and money.
Protection of Surfaces: All Skudo products form a barrier over the surface and protect it from the varied construction site related damages and spills, reducing or eliminating the time and cost of repairs to the surface during the punch list process.
Protection of Workers: Skudo products provide slip-resistant, stationary and seamless surfaces, creating a safer environment for all who step foot onto your site.
Our History WHERE WE STARTED
The original Skudo System was developed in Australia to fill the need for a high quality, temporary coating system to protect finished surfaces from damages and stains during construction and remodel.
Brendon Smith (Skudo USA President) first brought this innovative and unique technology to the United States, opening the first Skudo USA office and distribution in Redwood City, California in 2010.
This early Skudo System was recognized by the Construction industry at the 2011 World of Concrete expo as a Most Innovative Product.
While establishing distributor relationships and selling direct to contractors around the US, Smith spent the next year testing, modifying and improving Skudo’s design and application methods.
In 2013, Smith relocated the business to Dallas, Texas. The move greatly expanded Skudo’s manufacturing and distribution capacity and also allowed the distribution center to be more centrally located for efficient order fulfillment.
The Skudo leadership team believes strongly in ongoing research, constantly improving and developing new products that offer unprecedented performance. We are committed to offering industry leading, innovative solutions for tough protection challenges. By working hand in hand with North American construction professionals, Skudo products have evolved to address their unique protection needs.
Today, Skudo Temporary Surface Protection solutions include Skudo Commercial System, Tack-Mat, Glass Advanced, All-Terrain Mat, SkudoBoard, Column Guard, Carpet Cover, and Skudo CURE. Skudo protects surfaces in the Construction, Flooring, Technology, and Manufacturing industries, providing advanced products that offer superior performance compared to more common or traditional systems.
