Metacaulk Cover Guard is a 1-piece fire-rated gasket for meeting the "24-in rule" in electrical boxes.
When exposed to heat, intumescent material expands/forms a char to seal opening, prevent flame spread & limit heat transfer to unexposed areas.
Use when electrical boxes are installed in rated walls facing opposite directions & horizontally separated by less than 24". Can also be used as a solution for standard electrical boxes when the 100 square inch rule is violated
